Infiniti revealed an image of its Q50 Eau Rouge concept. The concept is all set to make its debut on 13 January at the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS).

The Q50 is a souped up version of the standard Q50 sports saloon. Inspiration for the vehicle came from the collaboration between Infiniti and Red Bull Racing. The car components are redesigned for improved aerodynamics and are made from carbon fiber. The roof and door profiles are from the standard car and it sits lower and is wider. The new inclusions are a carbon fiber front splitter and roof, rear diffuser and side skirts, 21-inch forged alloy wheels, dual exhaust and a large rear spoiler.

Infiniti’s Executive Design Director, Alfonso Albaisa said, “From our shared passion for performance with Infiniti Red Bull Racing grew a collective desire to produce a vision of what a high-performance Infiniti Q50 could look like. The design has a number of distinctive Formula One inspired touches. In particular, the sculpted front wing assembly and the rear aerodynamic packaging take their cues from the RB9 race car.”
