The legendary British car maker, Jaguar has officially announced the introduction of an all-wheel drive variant of the F-Type. Currently, there are currently 6 variations of the F-Type but at the LA Motor Show the company states that there will be 14 total variants of the F-Type in 2015. The AWD variant was announced after a successful test of the AWD Jaguar F-TYPE R Coupé in South Africa to acknowledge the technical partnership between Jaguar and Bloodhound Project to break the land speed barrier of 1000 miles per hour (1610km/h).

The new AWD F- Type variant will allow the car to race from 0-100km/h in just 3.9 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds faster than the rear-wheel drive 542bhp F-Type R Coupe. There will be a number of performance enhancements made to the entire F-Type lineup, including the option of manual gearboxes so that the cost of ownership of the award winning F-Type will be reduced.
