Mahindra Imperio pick-up truck launched in India with single and double cab variants.

Mahindra & Mahindra has launched their new pick-up truck called the Imperio in India at a starting price of Rs 6.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Imperio will be available in single cabin and double cabin body, both powered by a  2.5 litre/4-cylinder diesel engine mated to 5-speed manual producing.the engine churns out 75bhp @3200rpm and 220Nm of torque @1400-2200rpm. The Imperio has a 55 litre fuel tank and Mahindra claims it will do 13.55 km to the litre. The maximum payload on the deck across the range is 1240 kgs. The engines will be available in Bharat Stage 3 and Stage 4 emission norm compliant engines in respective cities.

The single Cabin standard BS3 compliant version of the Imperio is priced at Rs. 6.25 lakh and the Double Cabin standard BS3 has a starting price of Rs. 6.60 lakh. Both get a VX variant which are priced Rs. 6.60 lakh and Rs. 7.12 lakh respectively. All BS3 prices are ex-showroom Thane.

The BS4 compliant version of the Single Cabin has a price tag of Rs. 6.40 lakh as standard while the VX variant will set customers back by Rs. 6.75 lakh. Mahindra has priced the Double Cabin version at Rs. 6.75 for standard trim, the VX top variant is for Rs. 7.27 lakh. All BS4 prices are ex-showroom Mumbai.

The Imperio is available is with 3 metallic paint jobs; Lava Red, Verve Blue and Arctic White. In addition to Mahindra's new styling features, the Imperio also gets creature comforts like Air Conditioning, Power windows, second row nap rest system, adjustable power steering, and keyless entry, subject to variants.The Imperio is Mahindra's contender to the Tata Xenon and the Isuzu D-Max.
