Mahindra has added the brand-new, reasonably priced Z8 Select variant to the Scorpio-N SUV portfolio in India. The Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select starts at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 18.99 lakh. In the SUV’s Indian lineup, it sits above the mid-level Z6, and beneath the top-of-the-line Z8 and Z8 L models. Mahindra has added a new Midnight Black hue to the SUV’s colour palette to enhance its road appearance. Additional design features of the version include 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, and distinctive LED headlamps.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select Variant gets both petrol and diesel engine choices, in addition to manual and automatic transmissions. This allows it to meet the diverse driving needs and preferences of Indian clients. The homegrown carmaker states that the new model will be on sale at dealerships starting on March 1, 2024. It further adds that clients can anticipate speedier deliveries of their Scorpio-N as the company has increased its production capacity to offer an improved buyer experience.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select: Engine
As mentioned, the new Scorpio-N Z8 Select offers two engine options: 2.0-litre turbo-petrol with 197bhp and 380Nm, as well as, 2.2-litre diesel with 173bhp and 400Nm. A six-speed manual and automatic are available transmission options for both units.
Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select: Interior and Features
The new model has coffee-black leatherette upholstery inside. It is equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a sunroof, built-in Alexa, and Adrenox Connect, which offers more than sixty connected car capabilities. There's also a 7-inch TFT console and an 8-inch infotainment screen.
Apart from this, the SUV still has four-disc brakes, ABS, ESP, Frequency Dependent Damping (FDD), and Multi-tuned Valve Central Land (MTV-CL) technology. While most of its features and technologies are nearly identical to those of the Scorpio N Z8 model, the new version lacks several amenities, including dual-zone climate control, power folding ORVMs, a push-button start, and a tyre pressure monitor, among others.
