Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), a major player in the Indian automotive industry, has added two new base variants - W2 and W4 TurboSport to its widely popular XUV300 range. With this, there are now a total of five variants in the Mahindra XUV300 lineup: the W2, W4, W6, W8, and W8(O). The carmaker claims that the newly launched products strive to appeal to a larger demographic by providing excellent performance, functionality, and elegance at affordable pricing points. The XUV300 has long been a favourite among SUV aficionados, and these additional features should help it maintain its leadership in the segment. Now that there is a more budget-friendly model available, the XUV300's starting price has gone down to Rs 7.99 lakh. Therefore, the current pricing range for the Mahindra XUV300 begins at Rs 7.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.59 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. As far as market competition is concerned, the SUV goes head to head against the likes of the Hyundai Venue, the Kia Sonet, the Tata Nexon, and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

Mahindra XUV300: Powertrain Options

Three different engines are offered for the sub-4 metre compact SUV: a 1.2-litre petrol turbocharged multipoint fuel injection (TCMPFI), a 1.2-litre mStallion turbocharged inter-cooled gasoline direct injection (TGDi), as well as a 1.5-litre diesel unit. The TCMPFI and diesel engines both provide 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT transmission options, whereas the TGDi only offers a 6-speed MT. This powertrain option was formerly offered starting with the W6 version. Further, it takes five seconds for the SUV to go from 0 to 60km/h.

Mahindra XUV300: Feature List

The XUV300 from the homegrown manufacturer receives updates to the feature list in addition to the powertrain.
