The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door  version's cabin is expected to look similar to that of the 3-door version.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny 5-door is set to be unveiled at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo. It is anticipated to go on sale by August in the coming year. Internationally, Maruti Suzuki Jimny 3-Door is offered with the 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, which delivers 100bhp and 130Nm. Rumour has it that Maruti Suzuki will use the same engine in the 5-door Jimny too, which will produce the same power and torque outputs. The engine will probably be coupled with mild-hybrid technology. Additionally, Suzuki's All Grip Pro AWD system will be mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission in the model. Reportedly, the upcoming 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny will not receive the six-speed automatic that is now being offered in most Maruti vehicles in India.

The upcoming 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny will have a muscular, retro SUV body with square lines, thick wheel arches, and a high roof line. The production model features a well-known Maruti Suzuki cabin design, with certain components coming from the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross.

A touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, a wireless charger, and an analogue instrument dashboard with a MID are among the features that the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny will be equipped with. The car is most likely to get a longer wheelbase and larger rear doors as compared to those of the existing Maruti Jimny 3-Door version.

The safety of passengers will be taken care of by a suite of safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and more. The off-roader will compete with models such as the Force Gurkha and Mahindra Thar after its launch in India. In terms of prices, the 5-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny is highly expected to cost between ₹7 lakh and ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom).
