The MG Windsor EV Pro has entered India’s growing EV segment with upgraded features and improved range, taking on key rivals like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, and Tata Nexon EV. We’ve already compared the Pro variant with Tata’s electric models—the Nexon EV and Curvv EV—two strong contenders in the EV SUV space. Now, it’s time to turn the spotlight on Hyundai’s electric Creta to see how the Windsor EV Pro fares against one of the most popular EVs in the segment in terms of range, performance, features, and value.
The MG Windsor EV Pro has a 52.9kWh battery, which delivers a 449 kilometres range on a full charge. On the other hand, the Hyundai Creta Electric comes with two battery options: a 42kWh battery offering a 390 kilometres range, and a 51.4kWh battery that stretches the range to 473 kilometres. Though the Creta Electric outperforms the Windsor Pro in range with its top variant, the latter’s bigger battery ensures more dependable performance over extended distances.
For AC charging, the MG Windsor Pro takes approximately 9.5 hours to charge from 10% to 100% using a 7.4 kW charger, placing it on the slower side compared to the Hyundai Creta Electric. The Creta, equipped with an 11 kW charger, completes the same charge in just 4 to 4.5 hours, offering a significantly more efficient home charging experience.
However, the Windsor EV Pro pulls ahead in DC fast charging, requiring just 50 minutes to go from 20% to 80% with a 60 kW charger, while the Creta Electric takes 58 minutes using a 50 kW charger.

The Windsor EV Pro and the Hyundai Creta EV offer distinct advantages in the electric SUV segment. The MG model offers Level 2 ADAS (adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, traffic jam assist), wireless smartphone connectivity, V2L and V2V charging, a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, and a 9-speaker Infinity sound system.
On the other hand, the Hyundai Creta Electric comes equipped with ventilated 8-way powered front seats with memory, a cooled glovebox, rear seat adjustment controls for added rear legroom, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. It also offers V2L functionality and Level 2 ADAS.
The MG Windsor EV Pro offers a flexible and cost-effective pricing model. It is priced at Rs 18.09 lakh (ex-showroom), but buyers can opt for the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan, which lowers the upfront cost to Rs 13.09 lakh, with a battery usage charge of Rs 4.5/km.
