MG has launched the Windsor Pro in India, which has a larger battery and more features than the standard Windsor EV. Bookings will open on May 8, 2025. The Pro variant is available in three colour options: Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver. It comes with a 3-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 3-year roadside assistance, three labour-free services, and a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner. To help you choose between the two, we’ve put together a detailed comparison of the Windsor EV Pro and the standard Windsor EV.
While both models share the same 134bhp and 200Nm output, the Pro distinguishes itself primarily through its battery. The standard EV offers a 38kWh pack with 332 kilometres of range, whereas the Pro packs a larger 52.9kWh unit, extending the range to a notable 449 kilometres. Interestingly, the Pro also shows a slight advantage in DC fast-charging, taking around 50 minutes (20-80%) with a 60kW charger, a marginal improvement over the standard model's approximate 55-minute charge time.
While the standard model already has a good set of features, the Pro version adds more, especially in safety. It comes equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) package, with functions such as emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.

The Pro variant also adds Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) charging, both of which are absent in the standard Windsor EV. Other than this, the feature set remains the same.
Visually, the Windsor Pro is similar to the standard model, with the exception of new paint choices and redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior adopts a functional beige and black colour combination.
While the layout is the same, both models share a strong feature list, including a 15.6-inch touchscreen, 8.8-inch digital cluster, leather steering wheel, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and a 9-speaker Infinity system.
MG has priced the Windsor Pro higher than the standard model. It starts at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for outright purchase, available as an introductory price for the first 8,000 customers. Buyers can also opt for the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, which brings down the starting price to Rs 12.50 lakh, plus a battery rental charge of Rs 4.5 per km.

For the Battery as a Service (BaaS) option, the starting price is Rs 9.99 lakh, with a battery rental cost of Rs 3.5 per km. The BaaS versions of the Exclusive and Essence trims cost Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 11.99 lakh, respectively.
