Considered as one of the best months for the automobile manufacturers in India, October proved to be a happy ground for Mahindra Rise as the carmaker sold 51,383 units in the festive month.

Mahindra Rise recently released its sales figures for the month of October 2015, and according to the news Mahindra sold 20% more car this October as compared to what it did last year in the same month.

The passenger vehicle segment witnessed a growth of 19% by selling 24,060 units, which can be attributed to the launch of the new TUV 300. Medium and heavy commercial vehicles segment grew by 169% selling 581 units. Domestic sales contributed 48,815 units in the cumulative sales of 51,383 units this October.

Commenting on the impressive sales performance, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), M&M Ltd. said, “The advent of the festive season has provided the much needed fillip for the auto industry especially on the back of the new launches of most manufacturers which has received an encouraging response. With the drop in interest rates and the fuel prices remaining benign, we expect the industry to maintain a good growth momentum going forward. At Mahindra we are happy with our performance during October 2015, which has witnessed a positive growth of 20% backed by excellent response garnered from the recently launched TUV300 as well as other brands such as XUV 500, Scorpio, Bolero and pickups. We are quite hopeful of this positive growth momentum continuing for the rest of the year.”
