Tata Motors has updated its line of passenger vehicles to ensure that they are RDE norms and E20 fuel compliant ahead of the implementation of strict RDE norms, which will be effective from April 2023. The company has also added new features to several of its models, including the Tata Tiago, Nexon, and Tigor. The engines of the Tata Altroz and Punch have been altered, according to the company, for better manoeuvrability at low speeds. The company claims that this performance tweak will result in a hassle-free driving experience. Both cars come with an engine idle start-stop capability. The revised engines have lower levels of NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness). Tata has also increased the basic warranty – from 2 Years/75,000km to 3 Years/100,000km – on all vehicles in its PV line-up.

The carmaker has improved the Nexon diesel in terms of performance and has unveiled two new top-spec models – the XZ+ Lux and XZ+ Luxs. The new XZ+ Lux variant has features like leatherette upholstery, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, auto headlights, wipers, iRA-linked car technology, and cruise control and costs Rs 11.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The XZ+ Luxs, on the other hand, gets a sunroof. It comes with a manual or AMT transmission for both petrol and diesel engine options.

The idea behind the changes is not only to ensure compliance with the stricter emission rules but also to offer clients a wide range of cars with cutting-edge safety, better drivability, increased features, improved ride quality, and more.
