The German car giant, Volkswagen, has just launched a refreshed version of their entry-level sedan - the Vento. The latest Vento will now be available with the all-new 1.5-litre TDI engines, with 7-Speed DSG Automatic transmission, along with the other 1.6 MPI and 1.2 TSI powerplants. The automatic transmission will only be available on the 1.5 litre TDI and the 1.2 TSI.

The new Vento’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder TDI turbo-diesel engine produces 103 horsepower and 250Nm of torque, which provides impressive performance on the road, while its fuel economy figure of 21.21kpl provides uncompromised efficiency.

New features include dual front airbags on all variants, dual-beam headlamps, upgraded instrument panel, redesigned alloy wheels, footwell lights, and flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel. There will also be new colours for the Vento line-up, which include Toffee Brown and Night Blue. The new Vento will be available at an ex-showroom price (Mumbai) starting at Rs 7.44 lakh.
