Elevate, City and More Assist Honda Cars India Register 24% YoY Sales Growth in November

Honda Cars India has revealed its sales numbers for the month of November. In terms of exports, the automaker delivered 3,161 units in November 2023, marking a noteworthy year-over-year growth of 335% from 726 units shipped in November 2022.

In November, Honda Cars India recorded total monthly sales of 11,891 vehicles. The manufacturer dispatched 8,730 units in the domestic market, compared to 7,051 cars delivered in the same time the previous year. This resulted in a 24% increase year-on-year. In the last month, the company shipped 3,161 units internationally, showing an increase of over 335% compared to the 726 units exported in November of last year. In October 2023, the company sold 13,083 units overall, representing a 9.1% month-over-month decrease. The automaker reported a surge in sales for November due to strong demand during the festive season and the positive reception of the Honda Elevate. It also indicated to maintain this positive trend for the rest of the year, while also adapting to the changing needs of the automobile industry.

Honda Cars India October 2023 Sales

Honda Cars India recorded a 17% growth in sales in October this year, selling 13,083 units, compared to 11,221 units sold during the same time last year. The automaker also saw a significant increase in exports, with 3,683 units shipped in contrast to 1,678 units shipped in October 2022, representing a 119% rise. However, the domestic sales of the company decreased by 1.5% in October 2023, with a sale of 9,400 units. In comparison, the firm dispatched 9,534 cars in the Indian market in the same month in 2022. The manufacturer attributed the success of October's sales to Elevate's positive market response. Honda Elevate: Mechanical Specifics 

The brand-new mid-size Honda SUV comes equipped with a single 1.5-litre iVTEC petrol unit that also powers the City. When paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed CVT, the motor delivers a peak power output of 120bhp and a maximum torque of 145Nm. The Elevate is available in four different variants: SV, V, VX, and ZX. The six-speed manual transmission is standard on all four models, while the seven-speed CVT is available only with the V, VX, and ZX editions.

The brand-new SUV from Honda is priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (All prices, ex-showroom). In terms of market competition, the Elevate SUV locks horns with the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and the 2023 Tata Nexon.
