Nissan Magnite SUV to Get Costlier From January; Here's Why

Nissan is all set to increase the prices of its only vehicle — the Magnite, in India from January. The Magnite locks horns with the Mahindra XUV300, the Tata Nexon, the Hyundai Exter, the Renault Kiger, and several other models in our market.

Nissan's only model in India - the Magnite - has recently been included in the list of SUVs that will become more expensive from next month in India. According to sources accessed by autoX, the Nissan Magnite SUV will see a considerable price increase due to several factors, including growing input costs and inflationary pressure. Although the exact quantum of the hike is yet to be announced, the Magnite is expected to command a significant premium over its existing pricing, which ranges between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 11.02 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Furthermore, Nissan is offering some enticing year-end deals on its only SUV. There are five broad variants of the Magnite that prospective buyers can select from — XE, XL, XV Executive, XV, and XV Premium. The XV MT, XV Turbo MT, and XV Turbo CVT are the three versions of the Red Edition. Read on to know more about this currently accessible Nissan model in India before making a purchase.

Nissan Magnite: Some Key Details 

Two engine options are available for Nissan's SUV: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated engine with 71bhp and 96Nm, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit with 99bhp and 160Nm. The turbo engine comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, although it is also available with a CVT, which lowers torque output to 152Nm. With the normally aspirated petrol mill, it now comes with a 5-speed AMT option as well.

The Nissan Magnite SUV includes several interesting features, including an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto air conditioning with rear vents, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and more. It has a cargo capacity of 336 litres and is available in three dual-tone and five monotone colour schemes: vivid blue with storm white, pearl white with onyx black, blade silver, flare garnet red, onyx black, tourmaline brown with onyx black, vivid blue with onyx black (new), sandstone brown, and storm white.

Nissan Magnite: Safety, Price and Competitors 

The Nissan SUV's safety net includes dual front airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera, a hill-start assist, and electronic stability control (ESC). As previously said, the Magnite costs between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 11.02 lakh in India. These are ex-showroom prices. It competes against the Mahindra XUV300, the Tata Nexon, the Hyundai Exter, the Renault Kiger, and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
