Suzuki Motorcycle India Sells Over 87,000 Units in November 2023, Registers 9.7% Year-on-Year Sales Growth

Suzuki Motorcycle India has shared its sales data for the previous month, i.e., November 2023. In the local and overseas markets, the automaker delivered 73,135 and 13,961 units, respectively.

Many car and motorcycle manufacturers released their sales figures for November. Suzuki Motorcycle India also joined the lineup by sharing its monthly sales numbers. With 87,096 vehicles sold overall, the automaker saw a year-over-year increase of 9.7% over the figures achieved in November of last year. In the local and overseas markets, the two-wheeler manufacturer delivered 73,135 and 13,961 units, respectively. The company sold 84,302 units domestically in October of this year, registering a notable record high. It dispatched 16,205 vehicles to the international market during that period. Talking about the overall sales, the brand sold 1,00,507 units in October, which was a significant rise of about 14.4% from the corresponding period a year ago.

Regarding the November sales, the company attributed the overall year-over-year success to the satisfaction of customers in its products. The company provides a host of bikes and scooters in India, namely the V-Strom SX, the Gixxer 250, the Access 125, the Burgman Street EX, and more. At the EICMA 2023, the Suzuki Motor Corporation pulled the wraps from the new motorcycles – the GSX-S1000GX and the GSX-8R. Suzuki GSX-S1000GX, Suzuki GSX-8R: Mechanical Specs

At its heart, the new Suzuki GSX-S1000GX has a 999cc inline-four-cylinder engine that claims to deliver 150bhp and 107Nm of performance figures. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed unit. The bike has four electronically controlled damping modes – Hard, Medium, and Soft, along with a customisable User mode. In addition, it includes a 6-axis IMU, which makes it the first model in the GSX-S range to sport cornering ABS, as well as, traction control.

The power and torque numbers of the Suzuki GSX-8R, a middleweight sports bike, have not been disclosed by the automaker. According to market sources, its 776cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank will likely produce around 82bhp and 78Nm.

Suzuki GSX-S1000GX, Suzuki GSX-8R: Features Onboard 

As far as features are concerned, the sports tourer — the GSX-S1000GX, and the middleweight sports bike — Suzuki GSX-8R, are equipped with ride-by-wire, Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S), traction control, bi-directional quick shift, and more.

Suzuki GSX-S1000GX, Suzuki GSX-8R: Will They Come to India?

Suzuki is yet to comment on the arrival of these two motorcycles in our market. It is currently uncertain whether the Suzuki GSX-S1000GX and the GSX-8R will arrive here anytime soon.
