Volkswagen India announced its monthly discounts for the month of August. The Taigun and the Virtus are some of the well-known models that are eligible for the deals. Volkswagen dealers are offering alluring discounts for the Taigun and the Virtus of up to Rs 1.60 lakh and Rs 1.40 lakh, respectively. These offers are available until August 31, 2023, and they can be had in the form of cash discounts and exchange bonuses. Going into the details of the benefits, the Taigun SUV comes with a cash discount of up to Rs 1 lakh as well as an exchange bonus of up to Rs 60,000. On the other hand, you can bring a brand-new Virtus home with a cash discount of up to Rs 1 lakh and an exchange bonus totalling up to Rs 40,000. It is important to note that only the sedan's GT models are eligible for these special offers.

Volkswagen Taigun: Engine, Features, and Price
For its most popular SUV, the Taigun, Volkswagen India introduced several new trims and colour options in June this year. The new Volkswagen Taigun GT DSG and GT Plus MT models are available for Rs 16.79 lakh and Rs 17.79 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively. Two fresh paint jobs, Deep Black Pearl & Carbon Steel Grey Matte are offered for this mid-size SUV and are part of the GT Edge Limited Collection.
The Volkswagen Taigun is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI engine with a manual 6-speed transmission as well as a 6-speed torque converter AT. This engine produces 113bhp of maximum power and 178Nm of peak torque. A 1.5-litre TSI engine with 148bhp of maximum power and 250Nm of peak torque is also included. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed DSG.
The lower-spec versions of the car have a few extra features added by the automaker. On the Highline trims of the 1.0-litre TSI Dynamic Line, the 2023 Taigun now has automatic headlights and auto-coming/leaving home lights. Further, the 1.5-litre TSI Performance Line GT models now have the same features.

Volkswagen Virtus: Engine, Features, and Price
The GT DSG Virtus variant from Volkswagen was launched in India last month for Rs 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is a part of the sedan's performance lineup. For the uninitiated, there are two primary versions of the Virtus: Dynamic and Performance. Customers interested in the Virtus can choose between 8 different models under the Dynamic (1.0l TSI) and Performance Line (1.5l EVO TSI engine) variants.
A 1.5-litre EVO TSI engine with Active Cylinder Cut-off Technology (ACT) and a 7-speed DSG gearbox power the new model, which falls under the Performance Line. At 5,000–6,000 rpm, it generates 148bhp of maximum power, and at 1,600–3,500 rpm, 250Nm of peak torque. The new GT DSG version also boasts 19.62km/l of ARAI-certified fuel efficiency. The brand-new Virtus GT DSG is sold in our market in all seven colours, including Reflex Silver, Rising Blue, Candy White, Curcuma Yellow, Wild Cherry Red, and Curcuma Yellow.
A 10-inch large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless AppConnect through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8 speakers with immersive sound as standard, wireless mobile charging, My Volkswagen Connect Plus, and more are among the technological and entertainment features that the all-new sedan is equipped with. The vehicle comes with more than 40 active and passive safety measures. Additionally, it has a 5-star GNCAP rating for protecting both adult and child occupants. The 4EVER Care package, offered with the Virtus, consists of a 4-year warranty that can be extended to a maximum of 7 years, a 4-year period of roadside assistance (RSA) that can be extended to a maximum of 10 years, and three labor-free services.
