The factory Audi Sport Team Joest entry of Andre Loterrer, Marcel Fassler and Benoit Treulyer won the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps to make it two wins in the first two races of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. Like in the first round at Silverstone, the Audi squad was troubled most by the Porsche factory team entry of Marc Lieb, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani who finished just 13.424 seconds behind the championship leaders.

Audi and Porsche have made the battle for overall and LMP1 honours a two-horse race so far, with defending WEC champions Toyota Racing struggling to keep up with the German squads. Unlike the previous round, where Toyota took third and fourth behind Audi and Porsche, the best the Japanese manufacturer could manage was a fifth place finish with the entry of Alexander Wurz, Mike Conway and Stephane Sarrazin.

Porsche and Audi took third and fourth places, one and two laps behind the winning entry.

The WEC's LM GTE Pro category was won by Aston Martin Racing V8 and their driver line up of Richie Stanaway, Fernando Rees and Alex MacDowall. However, the win was a fortuitous one as Silverstone winners Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Wilander of AF Corse Ferrari were forced to take a late race stop-and-go penalty on account of their pit crew being adjudged to have been in violation of pit-lane regulations when they threw around tyres during a pit-stop.

Jota Sport-Nissan's Simon Dolan, Harry Ticknel and Mitch Evans won the LMP2 category while Aston Martin Racing's Pedro Lamy, Paul Dalla Lana and Matthias Lauda won the LM GTE Am category.
