Indian racing driver, Armaan Ebrahim and Sri Lankan team-mate, Dilantha Malagamuwa finished third in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia series.

Armaan Ebrahim and Dilantha Malagamuwa finished third in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia series in the second round held in Suzuka, Japan.

Drivig for Dilango Racing team, Arman and Dilantha qualified second for the first race of the weekend on Saturday. However, the team lost valuable time during the mandatory pit-stop where Armaan handed the car over to Dilantha. The team dropped down to third place to take the final spot on the podium.

However, a promising weekend turned out to be disappointing for the team as they qualified ninth for the second race on Sunday. Dilantha started to race and took responsibility for the first stint. In the early stages, the Sri Lankan made up four places and found himself in fifth place. But 20 mins into the race, the car suffered a blown engine forcing the team to retire from the race.

Armaan and Dilantha finished second during the first round of the series in Shanghai, China last month. Armaan is also one of five Asians included in the Young drivers Programme of Lamborghini Squadra Corse.

The next round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia series will be held in Buriram Thailand from July 23-24 for Round three of the championship.
