Here is a motorcycle which has pretty much eliminated one of the biggest disadvantages of an electric bike. Welcome the Storm Pulse, an electric touring motorcycle which will cover almost 380kms in a single charge.
The bike has been made and designed by some students of the Eindhoven University of Technology in Holland. The Storm Pulse weighs almost 340kgs, will do 0-100km/h in just 5 seconds and will have a top speed of 160km/h. Thanks to the 24 cartridge battery pack which has a capacity of 28.5kWh.
The big battery takes eight hours to charge completely from zero, but 0-80% can be done in just 38 minutes. The peak power of the motorcycle is claimed to be 94bhp with a peak torque of 240Nm.
To highlight the unbelievable performance of the motorcycle, the students will try to ride this bike around the world in just a span of 80 days.
