Hero Mavrick 440 Unveiled in India, Is Based on Harley-Davidson X440

The Hero Mavrick is built on a trellis steel frame, sharing its foundation with the Harley Davidson X440. Mechanically, it is powered by a 440cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission.

Hero MotoCorp's most antcipated model, the Mavrick 440, has been unveiled by the prominent two-wheeler manufacturer in India. The brand-new offering from Hero is based on the same platform as the Harley-Davidson X440, but it is distinguished by several exclusive features. Speaking of variants, the Mavrick comes in base, mid, and top versions with connected features. Other than the Harley-Davidson X440, the Hero Mavrick's immediate rivals in the Indian market include the Triumph Speed 400, the Jawa 350, the Honda CB350, and the Royal Enfield Classic 350. Bookings for the model will commence in February followed by the official price announcement. Meanwhile, the deliveries are scheduled to commence in April. Hero Mavrick: Design Details and Colour Options

Hero Mavrick 440 Front Three Quarter

The newly unveiled motorcycle sports a robust fuel tank, a muscular design, and a long, single-piece seat. The Mavrick 440 exudes a classic appearance thanks to its circular LED headlamps with an H-shaped LED DRL. Along with the headlamp, there are small circular indicators and a long rear fender that resembles the one found on the X440.

The base variant with spoke wheels comes in Arctic White colour, while the mid variant with alloys can be had in two dual-tone colour schemes – Fearless Red and Celestial Blue. Phantom Black and Enigma Black are the available paint jobs for the top variant with diamond-cut alloy wheels. 

Hero Mavrick: Engine Specs

The Hero Mavrick is built on a trellis steel frame, sharing its foundation with the Harley Davidson X440. Mechanically, it is powered by a 440cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed transmission. However, to suit the bike's roadster persona, the engine has been tuned differently. The motor is good enough to belt out 36Nm of peak torque and 27bhp of maximum power.

Hero Mavrick: Feature List

On the feature front, the Mavrick 440 comes with an extensive list of amenities. It boasts a fully digital instrument cluster in the form of an LCD screen, allowing for smartphone integration and Bluetooth connectivity. Moreover, there are connected services accessible, such as text messages and call notifications. In order to enhance its feature suite, the bike also comes with a turn-by-turn navigation system and full LED lighting. Going into the details of the LCD unit, the left side is circular and displays information regarding speed, revolutions per minute, gear position, and indicator lights. The right side is rectangular and shows data about navigation and notifications. 

The Mavrick 440 features 43mm front telescopic forks with 130mm of travel at the front. The motorbike was designed with rider comfort in mind, and it has a neutral footrest position. Compared to the X440, the riding position of the Mavrick is much more upright, suggesting there is enough room for a passenger.
