Could this be the next big launch from Austrian bike maker KTM in India? After successfully launching the Duke 200 and 390, they could very well plan to bring in their brand new KTM Freeride 250R, so that they can take on yet another bike segment in India.

The Freeride 250R is a lower spec bike based on the Freeride 350, and it was developed to bridge the gap between the company's pure race performance bikes and their mid-range adventure bikes. The 250R is intended for first time off-road adventurer's or just for someone who wants a fun bike. This is why we feel the new entry level bike will do well in the Indian market. With biking culture becoming more far-spread in India, many people will look into adventure bikes that they can travel on and have fun with.

The Freeride 250R uses the same engine from the 250EXC, only it has been detuned and will provide around 25bhp, which is perfect for beginners and a good amount to have fun with. As of now the bike has only been revealed and is most likely to go on sale in the European market some time soon.
