The Royal Enfield Himalayan is undoubtedly one of the year's most anticipated motorcycles. Following a successful debut at the prestigious EICMA show, the company is scheduled to reveal the bike's prices in India tomorrow during its exciting three-day motorcycle festival, RE motoverse. The bike outperforms the Himalayan 411 in terms of both performance and amenities. According to Royal Enfield, it is an entirely new package with some top-end electronics that has nothing in common with the outgoing Himalayan 411. A greater price is predicted due to the new Himalayan's increased reliability and capacity. The Himalayan 411 costs Rs 2.16 lakh (both ex-showroom). The new Himalayan has a roomy 17-litre fuel tank and weighs 196 kg. In terms of features, the brand-new adventure tourer includes a TFT instrument console with full map navigation, switchable ABS, ride-by-wire, and more. Royal Enfield Himalayan: Variants and Paint Options 

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is available in three different versions: Base, Pass, and Summit. Regarding the colour scheme, the Base model, which is the entry-level version, has a Kaza Brown paint option, while the Pass, which is the mid-spec model, has Slate Himalayan Salt and Slate Poppy Blue colour options. In contrast, Hanle Black and Kamet White are the paint schemes for the top-spec Summit variant.

Royal Enfield Himalayan: Engine Specifics 

The primary focus of attention surrounding the recently released Himalayan is its 451.65cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, known as the 'Sherpa 450'. This is the brand's first liquid-cooled engine, with a double overhead cam, and four-valve head. Regarding the performance figures, the motor is coupled to a six-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch, producing 40bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm.

Royal Enfield Himalayan: Hardware

The Royal Enfield Himalayan's suspension consists of a preload-adjustable offset monoshock at the back and a 43mm upside-down fork at the front, delivering 200mm of wheel travel on both ends. Further, the brakes on the motorcycle include a 320mm disc up front and a 270mm disc down back, with dual-channel ABS as standard. At the rear, the ABS can be deactivated. The bikes comes fitted with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels and CEAT tube-type 90/90 front and 140/80 rear tyres.

Royal Enfield Himalayan: Dimensions and Features

The bike offers 1,510mm wheelbase and 230mm ground clearance. Moreover, it is taller, broader, and longer than the current 411, measuring 2,245mm in length, 852mm in width (without handguards), and 1,315mm in height (without the flyscreen). Furthermore, the soon-to-be-released Himalayan features an 825mm of standard seat height that can be adjusted as low as 805mm or as high as 845mm. 

Three riding modes, ride-by-wire, integrated turn indicators and taillight, and switchable ABS are among the features of the upcoming Royal Enfield motorcycle. In addition, the bike has a circular TFT colour screen with Google Maps. This screen has both digital and analog themes and boasts smartphone connectivity. Calls, SMS, and notifications are also accessible.

Royal Enfield Himalayan: Expected Price 

In India, this KTM 390 Adventure rival is anticipated to fetch a high price over the Himalayan 411. It is expected that the base variant of the Himalayan will cost approximately Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
