On the design front, the iconic kidney grille is derived from the classic 'shark nose' BMWs, but the aggressive LED headlamps are among the new design elements. Similar ducts move air away from the wheels to lessen turbulence in the lower front. The lower front is comparable, with a duct that directs wind away from the wheels to prevent turbulence. As this i5 bears the 'M' insignia, it has 21-inch M-specific wheels.

BMW i5 M60 xDrive: Features List

Standard features include a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a large widescreen infotainment system with a 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel. Along with the latest version of iDrive running on BMW's 8.5 OS, there's also an option to play games directly on the screen. Additionally, the ventilation and air conditioning are managed by a thin touch-sensitive strip that runs beneath the instrument panel, just like it does on the 7 Series.

Last month, the luxury automaker launched the iX xDrive50 at Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom). There are currently two variants on offer for the SUV, which was the company's first EV to be introduced in 2021. While the xDrive50 is the highest-spec model in the range, BMW sells the xDrive40 version as well. The latter carries a price tag of Rs 1.20 crore (ex-showroom).
