F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton Owned Pagani Zonda 760 LH Crashed, Driver Survived

The Pagani Zonda 760 LH was not your average car. Horacio Pagani personally commissioned the one-of-a-kind Zonda for the seven-time world champion. Because of this, Hamilton considered his automobile to be one of his most prized belongings.

The Pagani Zonda 760 LH, which was formerly owned by Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, has been rendered inoperable due to a collision that occurred in close proximity to the Penmaenbach tunnel in Conwy, Wales. Instagram was flooded with images of the damaged hypercar. The post claims that the owner of the Zonda at the time of the occurrence escaped the situation unharmed. Exotic vehicles, on the other hand, have damaged windscreens, broken back axles, and missing lights. According to the post, the driver had accelerated into the tunnel and then lost control of the vehicle's back end, causing it to spin. Upon closer examination of the images, it becomes evident that there is a shattered windscreen, accompanied by significant and unsightly damage to both the front and back sections. Large clamshells made of carbon fibre seem to make up this vehicle's bodywork, making any potential repairs very costly. The extent of the suspension damage seems to be substantial, and it is uncertain if the integrity of the composite tub has been compromised.

Pagani Zonda 760 LH: One-off Zonda for Lewis Hamilton

This LH model is really one of a kind since there are only a few Zonda 760s in existence. Sir Hamilton, as the letters imply, ordered the vehicle in 2014. This model comes standard with a Mercedes-AMG V-12 engine of 7.3 litres and connected to a six-speed manual gearbox. In fact, at the request of the reigning world champion, this was the very first Zonda 760 to include a manual transmission. The car has a wide variety of custom touches, but its signature purple paint job and accents are what draw the most attention.

During its F1 champion ownership, it was not usual to see the Italian hypercar out and about, thus this is not the vehicle's first accident. In fact, in November 2015, Hamilton had his own vehicle accident in Monaco. The Formula One driver would eventually sell the vehicle to a British bidder in late 2021.

Years ago, Pagani officially retired the Zonda and replaced it with the Huayra, which has since been replaced by the Utopia. Regardless, it has persisted through a number of one-offs.

Lewis Hamilton Car Collection

Lewis Hamilton is one of the most accomplished Formula One drivers ever. He's been competing for a long time and has racked up quite a few titles, including seven World Championships. So, it should come as no surprise that the British racer has a garage full of cars. Like many racecar drivers, Hamilton enjoys dabbling in other disciplines in his spare time. His collection spans the gamut from vintage automobiles to cutting-edge hypercars.

Lewis Hamilton has got his hands on a Mercedes AMG Project One, a road vehicle based on an F1 car with the same engine as the current F1 cars. The estimated value of the vehicle is about USD 2 million. The Ferrari collection follows, and it has not one but two La Ferraris. A Shelby Cobra 427, McLaren P1, Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series, and Mercedes G63 are also present.
