Hyundai introduces two 1.4-litre-engine variants of the Verna, priced at Rs. 7.79 lakh and Rs. 9.09 lakh.
Hyundai has launched a new entry-level model, its third generation Verna, in India. This new 1.4-litre model comes with a four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine with DOHC and variable valve timing. As of now, Hyundai is offering the new Verna 1.4 petrol with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. The car has been launched in two trim versions, namely E and EX. The Hyundai Verna 1.4 E petrol is priced at Rs. 7.79 lakh, while the Hyundai Verna 1.4 EX petrol is priced at Rs. 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 1.4 litre petrol engine in the Verna develops 98.6bhp @ 6,000 rpm and 132Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. The Hyundai Verna 1.4 has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 19.1 km/l, which is claimed to be 8 per cent higher than the earlier model’s ARAI rated efficiency figure of 17.4 km/l.

The current Hyundai Verna has received over 30,000 bookings, and more than 10,500 units of the car have been exported since its launch in August of 2017. The Hyundai Verna has also won the Indian Car of the Year 2018 Award.
Including the new 1.4-litre model, there are now a total of 14 Verna variants on sale.
