The Kia EV6 will be launched in India in the coming weeks.

Kia India is getting ready to the launch the EV6 in India, but in the meanwhile, there’s some more good news to go along with it. The EV6 has scored a 5-star safety rating in its Euro NCAP crash test, performing reasonably well in all areas.

When we break down that 5-star rating, the Kia EV6 was rated at 90% for Adult Occupant safety, 86% for Child Occupant safety, 64% for Vulnerable Road Users and 87% under Safety Assist. The best thing is that the EV6 has been given a ‘Good’ rating in most areas, ‘Adequate’ in a few and ‘Marginal’ in a couple of areas. That means that the EV6 doesn’t have any structurally weak points and at the time of a crash, no body part is expected to suffer major damage. What’s more, of all the cars tested by EURO NCAP in 2022, the Kia EV6 is one of the safest.

The EV6 is expected to be launched in the coming weeks. It will be available in a 2WD and AWD variants, and will be imported as CBU product. We got to drive the car at the Buddh International Circuit, and you can read our impressions of it, over here.

As far as the EV’s price is concerned, we expect it to be priced anywhere in the Rs 65 lakh to Rs 80 lakh price bracket (ex-showroom).
