Mahindra launched the Bolero Maxi Truck Plus pickup today in Mumbai and this LCV comes with a load full of improvements. Mahindra is taking the LCV market very seriously and even Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said that the market is growing rapidly and though Mahindra is the clear leader with 54% market share, they have to stay ahead with the times and stretch their lead from their competitors.

The Bolero Maxi truck plus now gets the same 63 bhp churning m2DICR common rail diesel engine that powers the company's SUV - Bolero. The Maxi truck plus now gets new exterior colour options and even dual tone interiors. Mahindra says that they have reduced the vehicle’s turning radius to 5.5m and have also equipped it with power steering but that is optional. The LCV also gets a mobile charging point and engine immobilizer.

While there are some things that still are integrally Bolero-ish like the front and rear suspension which, adopt the traditional leaf spring suspension setup with the front assisted by an anti-roll bar. It is BS4 compliant and delivers a mileage of 17.7 km/l.

Mahindra has also provided with maintenance assistance by increasing the transmission oil change and servicing interval to 10,000km while engine oil change interval has been extended to 20,000km. The Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck Plus is priced at Rs. 4.33 lakhs (ex-showroom Thane) for the BS3 version while the BS4 version costs Rs. 4.43 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).
