Mahindra will open the bookings for the Scorpio-N on July 30 with deliveries set to commence during festive season.
Mahindra has officially revealed the prices for the new Scorpio-N in India. Prices for the car start at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra has confirmed that it will open the add-to-cart option for the car on July 5 with bookings set to commence from July 30 at 11 am. Deliveries for the same will follow during the upcoming festive season.
The new Scorpio-N comes as a significant upgrade over the previous version in terms of design, features and an overall premium appeal. It is available in 5 trims and three engine options. One petrol and two diesel engine options will be available across trims Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L.
In terms of engine options, the new Scorpio-N gets the same options as the Thar and XUV700, i.e. a 2.0 turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2 diesel unit, with the latter available in two states of tune.
The 203hp petrol engine produces 370Nm in manual and 380Nm in automatic avatars. The 2.2-litre diesel engine, on the other hand, outputs 132hp and 300Nm of torque in its lower state of tune and 175hp and 370Nm in its higher state of tune. This engine option also gets three on-road drive modes – Zip, Zap, and Zoom. However, only Zap and Zoom allow the engine to offer its peak output.
All three engine options come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the higher-spec diesel and turbo petrol engine can be had with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The top variants of the Scorpio-N come with dual-zone climate control, analogue dials with a large coloured MID, front and rear cameras, auto start-stop, cruise control, Type-C USB ports for the first and second row, keyless go, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker 3D Sony sound system, and connected car features. Also on offer is Alexa-enabled What3Word, which lets you set your location with just a three-word combination.
