Mahindra XUV 3XO Deliveries Commence in India, Range Starts at Rs 7.49 Lakh

The new Mahindra XUV 3XO SUV is available in nine variants – MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5 L, AX7, and AX7 L.

Within a month of launching the XUV 3XO, Mahindra has begun deliveries of select variants of the XUV 3XO – AX5, AX5 L, MX3, and MX3 Pro. As a successor of sorts to the XUV300 SUV, the Mahindra XUV 3XO comes in 9 variants – MX1, MX2, MX2 Pro, MX3, MX3 Pro, AX5, AX5 L, AX7, and AX7 L, the bookings for which began on May 15. Of these, the AX5 and AX5 L variants reportedly accounted for the majority of 50,000 bookings recorded in 60 minutes within the commencements in India.

In response to the growing customer demand, Mahindra has already manufactured over 10,000 units of the XUV 3XO and ramped up its production capacity to 9,000 units per month. Moreover, the company promises timely deliveries for the SUV. Features on the Mahindra XUV 3XO – the facelifted XUV300 SUV – include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, as well as a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 7-speaker Harman Kardon music system, an AdrenoX connectivity suite, and wireless charging.

In terms of safety, it offers six airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESP), a blind spot monitor, all-wheel disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a segment-first Level 2 ADAS suite.

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Engine, Output

Under the hood, the Mahindra XUV 3XO gets three engine options: a 109bhp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol; 129bhp, 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol; and 115bhp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. The vehicle gets a new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox for petrol engines. While a 6-speed manual gearbox is standard, the diesel engine also gets an optional 6-speed AMT. 

Mahindra XUV 3XO: Mileage

The turbo-petrol engine of the XUV 3XO gives out an ARAI-certified mileage of up to 20.1km/l, making it more fuel efficient than that of the Tata Nexon's (17.44km/l). Meanwhile, the XUV 3XO's diesel unit has a lesser fuel efficiency – up to 21.2km/l versus the Nexon's diesel AT's 24.08km/l. 

The new Mahindra XUV 3XO is priced from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It can be had in eight monotone and eight dual-tone exterior shades. In terms of market competition, the new vehicle goes against the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, and Renault Kiger in the segment.

Mahindra XUV700 Gains AX5 Select Variant

With an aim to curate a premium experience at an affordable price, Mahindra recently launched a new variant of the XUV700. Billed as the AX5 Select, it is a seven-seat SUV with an internal combustion engine and premium features to back it up. At a starting price of Rs 16.89 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select now also gets a skyroof, a dual HD Superscreen (a 10.24-inch infotainment system and a 10.24-inch digital instrument cluster), and a push-button start/stop, all three of which are typical of higher-end variants. However, mechanical components remain the same – a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol/ 2.2-litre diesel engine mated to their respective gearboxes.
