Maruti Suzuki Eeco CNG gets BS6 upgrade

Maruti Suzuki has launched the BS-VI compliant version of its Eeco S-CNG van, with prices starting from ₹4.64 lakh for the Cargo Non-AC version (₹5.06 lakh for the Cargo AC version). The non-cargo 5-seater version for private buyers is priced at ₹4.95 lakh.

The Eeco is the brand's fourth CNG model to get the BS-VI update and continues to offer 5-seater and cargo configurations.

Maruti Suzuki has launched the BS-VI compliant version of its Eeco S-CNG van, with prices starting from ₹4.64 lakh for the Cargo Non-AC version (₹5.06 lakh for the Cargo AC version). Commercial buyers also have the option of purchasing the Tour V configuration (5-seater) of the Eeco CNG, priced at ₹4.93 lakh. The non-cargo 5-seater version for private buyers is priced at ₹4.95 lakh. All figures are ex-showroom, Delhi. The Eeco is the brand's fourth CNG model to get the BS-VI update, after the S-Presso, Wagon R and the Ertiga. Launched in 2010, Maruti Suzuki claims it has sold more than 6.7 lakh units of the Eeco since then, giving it a mammoth 87% market share in the multi-purpose/LCV van segment.

While the homegrown carmaker's active focus has been on the BS-VI upgrade of its petrol & CNG-powered portfolio, it is soon going to launch its BS-VI compliant diesel models as well.
