Maserati delivers its 1,00,000th manufactured vehicle

Maserati delivered their 1,00,000th car at the 2017 Auto Shanghai show in China. Italian sports car manufacturer, Maserati celebrated their 1,00,000th vehicle delivery at the Auto Shanghai 2017 show in China.

Maserati delivered their 1,00,000th car at the 2017 Auto Shanghai show in China.

Italian sports car manufacturer, Maserati celebrated their 1,00,000th vehicle delivery at the Auto Shanghai 2017 show in China. The company delivered a 2017 Quattroporte GranSport which was manufactured at the Avv. Giovanni Agnelli plant in Italy to a Chinese customer.

The Quattroporte GranSport selected by the customer featured an solid-white exterior with tan leather interior set up. The car was equipped with 21-inch Titano rims with raid painted brake callipers.

Maserati’s largest market globally for the Quattroporte model is China, where Reid Bigland, Head of Maserati, officially unveiled the car and announced the owner of the luxury four door saloon at the Auto Shanghai show.

Bigland commented "Our remarkable performance in China last year was a major contributor to our record-breaking global sales. China's elites are increasingly enamoured by the Italian brand of luxury, exquisite craftsmanship and passion for driving that are poured into every Maserati.”

Maserati has a heritage which commenced over a century ago in Bologna, Italy.  Its long heritage includes a number of beautiful cars and many accolades in motorsport history at the hands of arguably, one of the greatest drivers to have ever raced, Juan Manuel Fangio. In 1993, Fiat S.P.A acquired a majority stake by of the company, saving it from liquidation. Currently the Maserati brand is owned by the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Group.

In India, Maserati has three dealerships – Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru. The company sells its entire global product line up in India which includes the the Ghibli and Quattroporte 4-door saloons and the GranTurismo and GranCabrio from their GT car line up as well. Maserati will soon launch the Levante in India. The Levante is an upcoming SUV which is the manufacturers first attempt at making a luxury off-roader.
