McLaren GT Special Edition: Paying Homage Through Colours

The GT by MSO will have four lively exterior colour scheme options, with the brake callipers matching the external colour. Cerulean Blue stands out among the special exterior shades because it was created as an MSO Bespoke paint for the McLaren P1, the company's first vehicle in the Ultimate series. With a Dark Green Metallic tone, reminiscent of early F1 road car prototypes, the XP Green colour pays homage to the renowned McLaren F1. This shade of Green closely resembles the 1997 F1 XP GT ‘Longtail’, a developmental prototype of the F1 GTR, which won the Le Mans 24 Hours.

The Speedtail's debut is commemorated by the Sarigan Quartz livery, which is also featured on the GT. Before that, the Speedtail XP2, a developmental vehicle, was painted in this colour. During high-speed testing at the Johnny Bohmer Proving Grounds in Florida, USA, the Speedtail XP2 reached speeds of more than 403km/h. In addition, MSO created the brand-new tone Cyber Yellow, especially for the occasion. It includes a modified lustrous coat and is an evolution of the Volcano Yellow paint colour.
