With this, Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a concept vehicle in India for the third time, joining the likes of the impressive Vision Maybach 6 and the EQG Concept. The former was the first vehicle to be displayed at the cultural center, and it was on showcase for three months. For the uninitiated, the German luxury carmaker and the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) collaborated in October 2023 to provide visitors with unique experiences across the domains of luxury, fashion, art, and culture. Here's all that you need to know about the stunning AMG GT6.

Mercedes-Benz AMG GT6: Design and Features

According to Mercedes-Benz, the AMG Vision Gran Turismo is a futuristic super sports concept car that embodies a visually remarkable blend of performance and design with its extreme dimensions, sensual contours, and cleverly integrated high-tech elements.

The Mercedes-AMG GT6's bonnet flows into a small greenhouse that is offset to the back and resembles an aerodynamically effective water drop, descending gently to rest on the broad shoulder curves of the back end. Furthermore, an extended, dramatic side contour and a prominent bulge to the wheel arches, which merge into the low-slung, muscular bodyshell, highlight the dynamic aura. The manufacturer stated that with their bold colour combination and aggressive appearance, the angled headlamps exude a sense of sportiness and willingness to charge ahead.

An additional characteristic is the radiator grille, which is a reinterpretation of the broad Mercedes-Benz sports car grille featuring a central star. Its design is similar to the fabled 1952 300 SL race vehicle. On the exhibition car's grille, however, there are only LEDs rather than the traditional louvres. Expanding upon the diamond grille debuted with the A-Class, the variable LED grille features a variety of light patterns.

Mercedes-Benz AMG GT6: Performance

Moving on to the mechanicals, the only information that the company has provided about the AMG GT 6's technical specifications is that it will be capable of belting out 577bhp of maximum power and 800Nm of peak torque when it is ready for production.

Mercedes-Benz GLA, AMG GLE 53 Coupe Facelifts Arrive in India

In other news, the facelifted GLA and the AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe models, which retail for a starting price of Rs 50.50 lakh and Rs 1.85 crore, respectively, marked the first launch of 2024 for Mercedes-Benz India. As part of the most recent revamp, the automaker significantly improved the GLA's styling and interior. The all-new GLA costs between Rs 50.50 lakh and Rs 56.90 lakh and is available in three variants. Notably, the black plastic wheel arches on the front end are replaced with body-coloured ones. Some of the other updates for the SUV included new alloy wheels, an updated front grille, modified bumpers, redesigned LED tail lights, and new LED headlamps with a unique LED DRL pattern.

Coming to the AMG GLE 53 Coupe, not much changed on the outside, however, the SUV now has new tech inside, a slight increase in torque from the 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, along with mild hybrid technology. Design-wise, the GLE Coupe's style is mostly unchanged from the previous model. The headlamps and taillights have new lighting components, the bumpers have modest adjustments, and the alloy wheel design is new. The grille's shape has also been significantly altered.

Moving on, the cabin has been updated with the current version of Mercedes' MBUX operating system, touch-sensitive controls for the AMG steering, temperature-controlled cup holders for the front seats, and 100W Type C fast charging outlets on both the front and rear of the vehicle. There are numerous options available for the AMG GLE Coupe, bringing the SUV's price up to Rs 2.2 crore. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom.
