Skoda breaks cover of the new Yeti Xtreme concept. The compact SUV combines the power of an all-wheel drive SUV with rally-inspired design as it comes in matte grey finish with an eye catching fluorescent yellow paint job. It also gets equipments of a rally car like a height adjustable chassis, underbody protection and ‘recovery tracks’, special traction mats that can be pushed under the wheels, should the car get stuck in sand. This concept also flexes its muscles with flared wheel arches, larger air intakes on the front brawny bumper and the 17-inch alloy wheels.

The interiors get racy 4 individual Recaro sports seats with yellow highlights and come with four-point safety belts. Skoda has used high-tech materials in the interiors like the inner door covers are entirely made from carbon fibre and the floor panel is made from aluminium. As it is a rally prepared SUV, this concept comes with additional equipments like a sand shovel, a thermos flask which is integrated into holders, belt cutter and a fire extinguisher.

The Xtreme is powered by a 150bhp TSI engine and is mated with a six-speed dual clutch transmission (DSG). It clocks 0-100 km in 9 seconds while its top speed is 192 kmph. The concept borrows the brakes setup from the Octavia RS.

According to Werner Eichhorn, ŠKODA Board Member for Sales and Marketing, "The Skoda Yeti Xtreme, as a dynamic and powerful compact SUV concept, demonstrates the brand’s strong expertise in four-wheel drive technology, as well as our know-how when it comes to rally sports.”
