The total sales of the Tata Nexon EV have surpassed 35,000 units.

Tata Motors has informed us about the Tata Nexon EV's new milestone via social media channels. The company shared that the EV, available in the Prime and the Max models has crossed the 35,000 unit sales mark in the country.

The car is offered with two battery sizes- 30.2kWh for the Nexon EV Prime and 40.5kWh for the higher spec Nexon EV Max. The Tata Nexon EV Max can produce a power output of 141bhp and a peak torque of 250Nm and on the other hand, the Tata Nexon EV Prime can generate 127bhp of power output at a 245Nm peak torque value.

For a while now, the Tata Nexon EV has been the best-selling EV in India. Reportedly, it will soon have a direct rival in the form of the XUV400 by Mahindra. The Mahindra XUV400, which was previously revealed, is set to be released in India in January 2023. The model will come packed with a 39.4 kWh electric motor that can produce 148bhp and 310NM of peak torque. Tata's new sales achievement for the Nexon EV seems huge just before the arrival of its most anticipated rival. It will be interesting to see how the Mahindra XUV400 will lock horns with the Tata Nexon EV variants. The Tata Nexon EV Prime is priced between ₹14.99 lakh to ₹17.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Tata Nexon EV Max costs between ₹18.34 lakh and ₹20.04 lakh (ex-showroom).
