Renault has confirmed that it will expand its Indian lineup to seven models by 2030. Currently, the French carmaker offers the Kwid, Kiger, Triber, and Duster in the country. The new model range will include new versions of the Triber and Kiger built on a new RGEP (Renault Group Entry) platform, and an underbody-mounted CNG tank, Bridger SUV, and its electric counterpart. The Triber is also said to receive an updated powertrain. According to the automaker, India will be among its top three global markets by 2030. It will also serve as its key hub for exports, with localisation levels reaching up to 90%. Alongside this, the carmaker is targeting a 5% market share in India. Here’s a detailed look at what’s coming from Renault.

The production-spec Bridger will hit Indian showrooms sometime next year, with a new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. While official specifications are yet to be confirmed, the unit is likely to be a three-cylinder motor with 113bhp, likely sourced from the new global-spec Renault Clio 6.

The Bridger will be a made-in-India model, and based on the new RGMP (Renault Group Modular Platform). This multi-energy structure is capable of supporting ICE, hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. An EV version of the sub-4m SUV is also on the cards. Prices for the ICE model are expected to start at around Rs 6 lakh, while the EV could be priced starting at Rs 10 lakh (both, ex-showroom).

Renault will finally give the much-anticipated turbo punch to the Triber MPV. The car will move to the new RGEP platform, and is expected to borrow the 1.0-litre turbo unit from the Kiger, which currently produces 99bhp of maximum power and 160Nm of peak torque. In addition, Renault will also integrate a new underbody-mounted CNG tank, enabling a factory-fitted CNG option without eating into the Triber’s usable boot space.

Similar to its MPV sibling, the Triber, the Kiger compact SUV is also set to transition from the current CMF-A architecture to the new Renault Group Entry Platform. Moreover, the Kiger will adopt a twin-cylinder underbody CNG tank layout. Mechanically, the SUV is expected to retain its existing engine lineup, including the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit. Notably, Renault is likely to pair the CNG setup with the turbo engine.

The all-new Renault Duster is already on sale with a choice of two turbo-petrol engines, including a 1.0-litre unit producing 99bhp and a 1.3-litre engine churning out 161bhp. Both versions come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.3-litre variant also offers a 6-speed DCT automatic. Renault has also introduced a strong-hybrid powertrain for the first time in India, which gets a 1.8-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and starter-generator to deliver an output of 158bhp and 172Nm.
Deliveries of this E-Tech hybrid variant are slated to begin around Diwali this year. Owing to overwhelming demand, Renault India has already sold out its entire 2026 production allocation for the hybrid, leading to a temporary pause on bookings to ensure timely deliveries.
