Volkswagen Virtus creates record after Kerala dealership delivers 150 cars in one day

The Volkswagen Virtus entered the India Book of Records after 150 units of the car were delivered on a single day by a single dealership in Kerala. The car has garnered immense positive response in India.

The Volkswagen Virtus sedan entered the Indian Book of Records after 150 units of the car were delivered by EVM Motors in Kerala on a single day.

The new Volkswagen Virtus has made it to the India Book of Records after a dealership in Kerala delivered 150 units of the car in a single day. EVM Motors & Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. Kerala was awarded the record for delivering the highest number of single sedan models by any dealership in India. Since its launch in India on June 9, the company has been meeting exceeding demand for the car. 

Speaking about this notable achievement, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, "We are extremely elated to have the new Volkswagen Virtus create a national record at the 'India Book of Records,' by being a single model sedan to be delivered in a day by a single dealership. Volkswagen introduced the Virtus in the healing sedan segment in India at prices starting from Rs 11.22 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The car was introduced in the Dynamic and Performance Line. At its launch, the company announced that the Virtus garnered 4,000 pre-orders for the car on March 8. In Kerala alone, the company delivered more than 200 cars. These include the deliveries made by both EVM Motors & Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. and Phoenix Cars Pvt. Ltd.

For the unaware, the Virtus is available with two engine options including a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. The 1.0-litre engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. However, the 1.5-litre can be bought with only the 7-speed  DSG cars.
