It is a great time to buy the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, as the car is eligible for a discount of up to Rs 75,000 in February. Both the strong-hybrid and mild-hybrid versions of the mid-size SUV benefit from this offer. Buyers interested in purchasing mild-hybrid variants can save up to Rs 50,000 this month. The benefits include a cash discount worth up to Rs 15,000 and an exchange incentive of up to Rs 35,000. Meanwhile, the strong-hybrid models get the biggest advantages comprising a monetary offer of up to Rs 25,000 and an exchange incentive of up to Rs 50,000. For reference, the car's starting price in our market is Rs 10.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It's important to take into account that all of the discounts mentioned above come to an end on February 29.

There isn't any official word, but Maruti Suzuki is speculated to upgrade the Grand Vitara's feature list with an ADAS package. Right now, practically all of the compact SUV's main competitors—aside from the Skoda Kushaq, the Volkswagen Taigun, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder—have level-2 ADAS. While there is no confirmation, there's a high chance that the price of the SUV will go up significantly when ADAS is included.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Engine

The Grand Vitara features two powertrain options: a 1.5-litre petrol mild hybrid and a 1.5-litre petrol strong hybrid. The former produces 102bhp, whilst the latter produces 114.4bhp. The petrol strong-hybrid system includes three driving modes: pure EV, hybrid, and petrol, in addition to self-charging technology. The mild hybrid unit can be obtained with either a 6-speed automatic or manual five-speed transmission, but the strong hybrid unit is available only with an e-CVT gearbox. In CNG mode, the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine generates 86.6bhp and 121.5Nm.
