Kia has achieved a noteworthy export milestone by shipping over 2 lakh units to 95 countries, including Asia Pacific, Mexico, South America, and the Middle East. The carmaker has achieved this export milestone in less than four years of its operations in our market. For those unaware, Kia entered our market in 2019, with the launch of the Seltos. According to reports, the carmaker has witnessed a quarter-on-quarter growth of 22% in the first quarter of this year, compared to Q1 2022. Kia says that the Seltos helped massively in achieving this significant export sales growth. According to the Korean automaker, it shipped 1.35 lakh units of the Seltos to different nations. The Carens and Sonet also contributed to the growth, with 8,230 units and 54,406 units shipped, respectively. Here's detailed information on the carmaker’s performance in terms of exports.

Kia Seltos: Top Contributor in Overall Sales in Q1 2023
According to the carmaker, its overall sales increased majorly because of the Kia Seltos, which accounted for 68% of overall exports and 53% of domestic sales. The company claimed that the Seltos has been their best-selling product in our market ever since its launch. In the first quarter of this year, the Seltos was also the most exported SUV, with a 28% share (10,295 units) of the overall exports. In a recent development, the carmaker introduced the facelift version of the Seltos in the International market. The redesigned version has several improvements over the base version and now offers ADAS as standard across all trims. For our market, the automaker has not officially revealed anything concerning the launch of the revamped SUV. However, industry reports claim that the new Seltos SUV will make its Indian debut by July this year.

Next-gen Kia Carnival India Launch Soon?
The fourth-generation Carnival MPV made its debut in the country at the 2023 Auto Expo. Instead of an MPV-like layout with a cab front, the all-new Carnival features a more SUV-like shape. The all-new Carnival sports the brand's new design language, already seen in the Kia Telluride, Sorento, and Seltos. According to Kia, this new design philosophy will give a bold and boxy appearance to the fourth-generation Carnival. Right now, there is no official word on the launch of the next-gen Carnival by the carmaker. However, it is expected to enter our market sometime around the end of the year.
