It makes sense for someone to think of a 250cc motorcycle as an ideal vehicle for both commuting and touring, especially in our country. India's motorcycle market offers an array of 250cc models for sale. One of the most popular ones among those is the Gixxer SF 250. As of this month, Suzuki India's quarter-litre motorcycle is eligible for a special deal. If a person trades in a motorcycle with a displacement of 150cc or more, they can get this bike for Rs 58,000. Furthermore, there is a Rs 20,000 exchange incentive on the bike's on-road price tag. This essentially means that a savings of Rs 78,000 can be made on the purchase of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. The model is now positioned between rivals like the Yamaha R15 and the Bajaj Pulsar N250, which makes it a perfect offer given its lower pricing. However, it is important to note that this special deal on the Gixxer SF 250 is only available through the end of March 2024. Here are further details on the bike's specs and features.

Suzuki Gixxer SF 250: Engine Specs and Transmission

In terms of mechanical components, the 249cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine of the bike puts out 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7,300rpm and 26.13bhp of maximum power at 9,300rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed gearbox. Additionally, Suzuki's in-house oil cooling mechanism, which offers high output together with longevity and ease of maintenance, is included with the SF 250.

The 161 kg weight of the Gixxer SF 250 is supported by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock arrangement at the back. Moreover, dual-channel ABS and disc brakes on both ends manage braking duties.

Suzuki Gixxer SF 250: Design and Features

The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 takes design cues from previous GSX models, particularly in the headlight cluster. The fairing is undoubtedly sleek and well-designed and has similarities to its siblings with smaller displacements. Features of the Gixxer SF 250 include split seats, clip-on handlebars, all-LED lighting, a twin-barrel, a single-sided exhaust, and a completely digital LCD instrument cluster. It's worth noting that its predecessor (the GSX250R) had a single-piece handlebar and seat.

The bike rides on 17-inch double five-spoke alloy wheels with a 110/70 tubeless tyre up front and a 150/60 unit in the rear. The SF 250 has a reasonable ground clearance of 165mm.

Suzuki Gixxer SF 250: Competition Check

The Gixxer SF 250 faces competition from the likes of the Bajaj RS200, the Honda CBR250R, the Yamaha FZ25, and the Hero Karizma XMR 210.
