Tata Safari, Harrier SUV Get Costlier in India by up to Rs 66,600

Tata Motors has increased the price of its Safari SUV by Rs 66,600. The new Safari was launched in India in February this year, with prices ranging between Rs 15.65 lakh and Rs 25.01 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Motors has announced a price hike of up to Rs 66,600 on the Safari and the Harrier. The price hike largely comes in the light of the addition of new features such as ADAS, a larger touchscreen, and others. Just days after launching the 2023 Tata Safari and the Harrier in February, the leading carmaker has increased the prices of these models. Not just that, the manufacturer also recently discontinued 26 variants of the Harrier and the Safari, according to some reports. Earlier, 66 variants of these vehicles were on offer. The ADAS-equipped SUVs now adhere to BS 6 Phase II RDE (Real Driving Emission) norms. Currently, the Tata Safari retails between Rs 15.65 lakh and Rs 25.01 lakh, while the Tata Harrier is priced between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 24.07 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

2023 Tata Safari: Revised Prices

The prices of the Tata Safari will vary depending on the variant. Tata Motors has increased the prices of the updated Safari by Rs 9,500 to Rs 66,600. The lower and mid-spec variants of the car are now costlier by up to Rs 19,500 and the top-spec variants get a maximum price hike of Rs 66,600. 

The new Safari is now available in XE, XM, XT Plus, XZ, XZ Plus, Dark, and Red Dark editions. It comes with a 10.24-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital TFT instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround view system, a wireless charger, ventilated front and second-row seats, and much more.

The car uses a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine that generates 168bhp at 3,750rpm and 350Nm of torque between 1,750 and 2,500rpm. The engine uses a six-speed automatic transmission and a six-speed manual transmission. 

2023 Tata Harrier: Revised Prices

The prices of the 2023 Tata Harrier have also moved up. The car is now dearer by up to Rs 37,000. Its mid-spec variants get a price hike of up to Rs 14,500. Whereas, the XZ Plus manual and automatic variants receive a maximum price increase of Rs 37,000.

The updated Harrier is now available in XE, XM, XMS, XT+, XZ, XZ+, XZA+ (O), Dark, and Red Dark editions. Along with ADAS, this model gets a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a six-way power adjustable driver seat with memory and welcome function, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, rear cross-traffic alert, drive modes, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and others.
