Volkswagen ID 3 Facelift: Exterior, Interior & Powertrain Details

In a recent development, the carmaker globally revealed the much-awaited ID.3 facelift. A major improvement, according to the carmaker, has been made to the Volkswagen ID.3's software packages, material quality, and in certain exterior designs. There are two trim options for the new vehicle: Pro and Pro S. It is the first model to utilise the new MEB platform. Also, it is the most significant vehicle VW has introduced in a while because it is regarded as the foundation of the company's electrification plan.

Outside, the front bumper, which has larger air-cooling holes and is more aggressive, is the most obvious modification. New aerodynamic alloy wheels, a black roof with matt-silver trim around the edges, fresh colours option like the Dark Olivine Green iridescent Metallic Paint, and new light signatures for the LED headlights and taillight clusters are among the additional changes.

From the inside, the model is similar to the current version. However, Volkswagen claims that user feedback has been considered for its creation. Better material quality, and plush, foam-backed surfaces in the cockpit, are part of the new improvements. The hand rests have gotten a little bit wider, and the door panels have been rebuilt with bigger, plusher surfaces. The interior of the ID.3 is now made up of recycled materials and contains no animal products at all. For instance, the seat coverings and door trims are made of Artvelours Eco microfibre, which employs 71% recycled plastic waste.

The ID.3 uses the same batteries and rear-mounted engine as before. Volkswagen has streamlined production by reducing the lineup to just the Pro and the Pro S models. Mechnically, both produce 204bhp and 309Nm and can accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.3 and 7.7 seconds, respectively. The Pro version has a 58kWh battery and a 426km range, whereas the Pro S model has a 77kWh pack and a 545km range.
