Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade Preview
Honda’s legendary Fireblade has entered in its all-new generation model and it’s coming to India soon! Dubbed the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, the latest-gen litre-class sports bike from Honda will be sold in the country in two versions – standard and SP.
Everything on the new Fireblade is built from scratch, meaning it’s some impressive numbers to boast. The all-new 1,000cc in-line four-cylinder water-cooled engine that puts out a class-leading 214.6bhp at 14,500rpm & 113Nm of torque at 12,500rpm. The engine shares its basic architecture with the company’s limited-edition homologation special RC213V motorcycle.
The new Fireblade gets a new diamond aluminium frame. Suspension setup features 43mm Showa Big Piston Forks (BPF) & a Showa BFR-C Pro-Link swingarm. Electronics includes three riding-modes, a Bosch six-axis IMU, 9-mode traction control, and launch control. The more expensive SP version will add Ohlins' electronically-controlled suspension, an up/down quick-shifter, and Brembo Stylema brakes. Among other updates, the new CBR1000RR-R also features a 5-inch colour TFT display and keyless ignition.
The 2020 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade twins are expected to be priced between Rs 25 lakh – Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).
