Kawasaki launches Versys650 and KLX110 in India

Kawasaki has bolstered its lineup in India with the launch of Versys650 and KLX110 models. The Versys650 is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine that produces 69 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque.

Kawasaki has bolstered its lineup in India with the launch of Versys650 and KLX110 models.

The Versys650 is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke engine that produces 69 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque. The bike will be imported as a complete knock down (CKD) unit from Thailand and assembled in India.

The Versys650 will be retailed through the existing Probiking Sales Network operated by Bajaj India and has been priced at Rs 6.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Kawasaki KLX110, on the other hand, is an off-road motorcycle designed for kids who want to learn the art of riding a bike. It is powered by a 112cc engine that produces a modest power output of 7.3 PS and 8.0 Nm of torque.

The KLX110 will be imported directly from Japan and comes with a price tag of Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 112cc bike cannot be plied on public roads.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr Yoshitaka Tamura, Managing Director, India Kawasaki Motors said: “With this engine, with this chassis, I’m sure these models are excellent offer to the market in India. There are some other models coming with the same mission as two. I’m sure they can bring another level of fun and excitement to this market.”
