The eagerly awaited Lamborghini Huracan replacement has been sighted for the first time on public roads, providing auto fans with a peek at its radically redesigned appearance. The refreshed model's bespoke hybrid drivetrain is now being tested as it prepares for its 2024 launch. The new Lamborghini, which was seen wrapped in heavy camouflage on German roads, has a look that is influenced by that of its bigger sibling, the Revuelto. The Huracan's successor will be revealed by the end of 2024, according to Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann. With the Revuelto currently on the market and the Urus SUV slated to transition to a hybrid system in early 2023, its launch will represent the pinnacle of Lamborghini's electrification strategy. Notably, with the release of the off-road-capable Huracán Sterrato, the Italian automaker will no longer be taking orders for the existing Huracan. Therefore, every Lamborghini Road car sold moving forward will be electrically powered. Here's all you can expect from the carmaker's upcoming offering when it comes to design, specs, features, and more.

2025 Lamborghini Huracan: Styling Cues

2025 Lamborghini Huracan

The next-generation Lamborghini Huracan has slimmer headlamps, hexagonal LED daytime running lights, a revised side air inlet next to the doors, and a modified rear bumper that reveals the bottom part of the rear tyres. The single, substantial centre exhaust positioned between the brake lights is one distinctive feature. Regardless of these updates, the 2025 iteration's appearance resembles that of its forerunner, with a nearly identical belt line, window line, sharply sloped bonnet, and sizable front air intake. The all-new Huracan is anticipated to have the same basic chassis as its more potent sibling, the Revuelto, below its impressive bodywork. The 'mono fuselage' concept of this chassis is a monocoque constructed completely of carbon fibre. This design option increases rigidity while reducing weight.

2025 Lamborghini Huracan: Powertrain Details

A plug-in hybrid V8 powerplant might be used to drive the new Huracan. According to reports, Lamborghini built this twin-turbocharged powerplant internally. The new vehicle will not take design cues from other Volkswagen Group products, in contrast to its predecessor. The custom powertrain is anticipated to borrow ideas from the Revuelto's 813bhp V12-based system and might have two or three electric motors in addition to the combustion engine. It is also said to be capable of functioning only on electricity. The unit's capability to spin to 10,000rpm is projected to improve upon the 630bhp Huracan Performante's performance.

2025 Lamborghini Huracan: Expected Price

The Lamborghini Huracan successor is expected to mark its debut by mid-2024, although expect a price increase over the current model. This brand-new plug-in hybrid supercar may sell for around $250,000 (about Rs 2.05 crore).

It is likely that Lamborghini will release several variations of the new supercar over the course of its lifespan, just as it did with the Huracan and the Gallardo models that came before it. The Huracan, which made its debut in 2014 and had a mid-lifecycle upgrade in 2019, has already sold out as its manufacturing is set to wrap up later this year. This implies that until the successor model's market debut in 2025, which is anticipated, you cannot purchase a baby Lambo.
