Bharat Mobility Expo: Kia has showcased the Carens X-Line in a Matte Graphite colour at the ongoing mobility expo in India. The MPV has a starting price of Rs 18.95 lakh (ex-showroom) and is offered in turbo-petrol DCT and diesel AT versions.

Bharat Mobility Expo: Kia has exhibited the Carens X-Line at the inaugural mobility expo, which is currently taking place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. With two versions—petrol 7DCT and diesel 6AT—the MPV is already on sale in India, with a starting price tag of Rs 18.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the third Kia model with the X-line treatment, followed by the Sonet and the Seltos. The Carens X-Line, based on the top-spec Luxury Plus edition, is on display at the ongoing mobility event wearing its unique exterior paint called Matte Graphite. Some other notable highlights of the car include silver callipers, an X-Line emblem on the tailgate, and 16-inch alloy wheels with a dual-tone design. The ORVMs, side door garnish, rear skid plate, and grille of the vehicle are all finished in a glossy black finish. Kia Carens X-Line: Engine 

The Carens X-Line is available with two engine options— a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. While the former (turbo-petrol) generates 158bhp and 253Nm coupled to a seven-speed DCT transmission, the latter (diesel) produces 113bhp and 250Nm mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. 

Kia Carens X-Line: Interior, Features, and More Details 

The interior colour choices for the Kia Carens X-Line model are Two-Tone Black and Splendid Sage Green. The MPV's left rear passenger seat is equipped with Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE), which gives users access to amenities like screen mirroring, podcasts, and additional entertainment apps. An app on a smartphone can be utilized to operate this technology, claims the automaker. In addition, the 6-seater MPV also has heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and more. 

Some of the car's safety features include the ISOFIX Child Anchor, 3-point seat belts (all seats), seat belt reminders (all seats), rear parking sensors, ABS (Anti-lock Brake System), driver, passenger side, and curtain airbags, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (Highline).

In terms of market competition, the Carens faces competition from a range of MPVs like the Maruti Suzuki XL6, the Ertiga, the Toyota Innova Crysta, and the Toyota Rumion in India.
