BMW Group have unveiled the MINI and Rolls Royce VISION NEXT 100 concepts globally.
The MINI and Rolls Royce VISION NEXT 100 concepts have made their world premiere in the United Kingdom, where the brands are originally from.
The year 2016 marks the 100th anniversary of the BMW brand. To celebrate the occasion, BMW a few months ago revealed the BMW VISION NEXT 100 concept car that will pave the future of the brands car development inspiration for the next 100 years.
The MINI and Rolls Royce brands, that fall under the BMW Group’s umbrella, have not been left out. BMW has revealed the MINI VISION NEXT 100 and the Rolls Royce VISION NEXT 100 concept at the Roundhouse in London.
The MINI VISION NEXT 100: “Every MINI is my MINI”
The MINI VISION NEXT 100 example is concentrated around the theme – “Every MINI is my MINI”. The idea is to be able to allow customers in the future to have access and tailor any MINI to their own personal preferences, anywhere and at any time. BMW claims that their goal for MINI is to be available to everybody at all times, picking drivers up autonomously from wherever they like and adjusting the car’s appearance, driving characteristics and connectivity to suit the user’s personal lifestyle with the help of digital intelligence.
The Rolls Royce VISION NEXT 100: “Grand Sanctuary”
BMW plans to take luxury to an all new level with Rolls Royce in the future. With the theme “Grand Sanctuary” chosen for the Rolls Royce VISION NEXT 100, is which customers will have a virtual assistant, “Eleanor” who will not only drive the vehicle, but also fulfill the customers wish in numerous ways through out the journey. Rolls Royce brand will also offer a possibility for a unique, personal, customised Rolls-Royce. Picking up on its coach building heritage, the marque has developed the “Personal Vision” which will deliver unique coachbuilt bodies, exquisite handcraftsmanship and the finest materials, all on a zero emissions platform. Innovative production methods and materials will open up new perspectives for customers to create a vehicle to their own specifications: from wheelbase to body shape, they will be able to choose the characteristics and equipment they desire, with the designers at Rolls-Royce creating an individually curated, bespoke masterpiece which is as unique as the fingerprint of its owner.
BMW will premiere the BMW Motorrad VISION NEXT 100 concept of their motorcycle brand on October 11 in Los Angeles, USA. The launch of the reveal of the Motorrad concept will be the final design that will complete the BMW Groups’ brand quartet.
