Ford India has added a new variant to the EcoSport's lineup with the introduction of Titanium+ petrol manual variant.

Priced at Rs 10.47 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), the new Titanium+ variant will sport Ford’s latest 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Earlier, the Titanium+ variant of the EcoSport petrol was only available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

On the launch, Rahul Gautam, vice president marketing at Ford India said, “Since new Ford EcoSport was introduced, our customers have been demanding a top-of-the-line Titanium+ petrol manual variant, offering enhanced safety with six airbags. In our commitment to meet customer demands, we are pleased to introduce this variant and offer a greater choice to our customers”.

The EcoSport facelift was launched in India in November last year. The updated car features a new Endeavour-inspired hexagonal grille flanked by large fog lamps. The interiors have been substantially updated with a refreshed dashboard featuring an all-new centre console.

The EcoSport’s monthly sales figures have improved considerably after the facelift was launched. The compact SUV mainly competes with the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Mahindra TUV300.
