Honda City Elegant, Amaze Elite Limited Edition Variants Launched in India at Rs 9.04 Lakh

Honda Cars India announced the arrival of its two festive editions: the 'Elegant Edition' of the mid-size City sedan and the 'Elite Edition' of the compact Amaze sedan, both of which have a starting price of Rs 12.57 lakh and Rs 9.04 lakh, respectively. Prices are ex-showroom.

Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) has announced the launch of the City Elegant Edition and the Amaze Elite Edition, in an effort to entice buyers ahead of the festive season. The carmaker has stated that both special editions will be offered in limited numbers only. The Amaze Elite Edition is based on the VX variant, whereas the V variant serves as the foundation for the City Elegant Edition. All exterior paint jobs are available for the two special editions as part of an updated premium package, and both may be purchased with manual or CVT gearbox options. Meanwhile, the other versions of the well-known sedans from the Japanese manufacturer are being offered with special festive discounts across India as part of 'The Great Honda Fest,' and can be purchased at the firm's authorised dealerships. These festive offers are valid till October 31, 2023. 

Commenting on the new festive edition launches, Yuichi Murata, Director, Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd, said, “As we gear up for the festive season, our focus has been to enrich our models with a distinct premium package which will appeal to our discerning buyers. The new editions of City and Amaze aim to offer enhanced styling and convenience with added features at an attractive price. Festivals give us a reason to celebrate and always have a special place in our lives. In addition to the launch of these new limited editions, we have also rolled out exciting offers and promotions on other variants of City and Amaze to make the new car purchase more rewarding for all our customers.”

Honda City Elegant Edition

The Honda City Elegant Edition has been rolled out in the Indian market. The manual and automatic versions of the City's limited edition, which is based on the V variant, are priced at Rs 12.57 lakh and Rs 13.82 lakh, respectively. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom. When it comes to the latest updates, the Honda City Elegant Edition gets a wireless charger, illuminated scuff plates, an Elegant Edition insignia, a tailgate spoiler with LED lighting, and special seat covers featuring "Elegant" badging. Interested buyers can now reserve the special edition model via the company's official website or at any nearest authorised Honda dealership. 

On the mechanical front, the brand-new Elegant edition comes equipped with the same powertrain options as the standard model. A 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.5-litre petrol hybrid Atkinson cycle engine with two electric motors are both available for the City sedan. The 1.5-litre petrol Atkinson cycle engine generates 253Nm of peak torque as opposed to the 1.5-litre petrol engine's 119bhp and 145Nm of maximum torque.

Honda Amaze Elite Edition

Coming to the Amaze Elite Edition, it is available for purchase at a starting price of Rs 9.04 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line trim, on the other hand, costs Rs 9.86 lakh (ex-showroom). The sedan's new edition can be had in both manual and automatic gearbox options. Similar to the City Elegant Edition, the Amaze's Elite Edition is also available for bookings on the brand's official site or at the company's nearest dealership. The front fender garnish, LED trunk spoiler, tyre inflator, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) are some of the Amaze Elite Edition's standout features. Moreover, it also includes Elite badging, an anti-fog film on ORVMs, step illumination, a sliding front armrest, and Elite Edition seat upholstery.

The Amaze is powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol unit which is capable of churning out 89bhp of maximum power along with 110Nm of peak torque. A CVT unit with 18.3km/l and a 5-speed manual transmission with 18.6km/l are the two available transmission options. The model was recently modified to meet BS6 Phase-2 or RDE standards. Furthermore, it complies with E-20 regulations as well.
