The Hyundai Elantra is perhaps one of the best looking entry-level full size sedans available in India today. It hasn't been a huge success though, as with other cars in its segment, but that's because the compact SUV segment is taking the country, and the world, by storm.

There is word that the next-gen Hyundai Elantra will be making its way to India sometime this year, and even though we have not received any word from the Korean manufacturer, and there are no official images, we do however have images of the all-new Hyundai Avante Sport, which was just revealed in Korea. The Elantra carries the Avante nameplate in Korea, and the new Avante Sport, from what we know, is based on the next-gen Avante.

The Avante Sport obviously has a sporty body kit and front bumper, but essentially it is the same car as the next-gen Elantra. The Avante Sport also comes with a turbocharged 1.6 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that's good for 203bhp and has 243Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT and allows the car to sprint from 0-100km/h in 8 seconds.

While an Elantra Sport will probably never make its way to India, the next-gen Elantra with the standard petrol and diesel engines will be here sometime towards the end of 2016.
