Bajaj Auto Registers 42% Year-on-Year Two-Wheeler Domestic Sales Growth in February

In February 2024, Bajaj Auto shipped 1,24,157 units, a YoY increase of 8% over the 1,15,021 units exported during the same period last year.

Bajaj Auto witnessed impressive year-on-year growth in both local and foreign markets in February 2024. In contrast to the 1,20,335 vehicles sold in February 2023, the manufacturer supplied 1,70,527 2Ws in the domestic market last month, representing a year-on-year growth of 42%. The international shipments of the two-wheelers reached 1,24,157 units this February, as opposed to 1,15,021 units the previous year. This led to a year-over-year increase of 8%. Overall, Bajaj delivered 2,94,684 2Ws in February of this year, which is a 25% increase over 2,35,356 units sold in the same time a year ago. Here's an in-depth look at the major automaker's sales performance in both the two-wheeler and commercial segments.

Bajaj Auto February 2024 Sales: Commercial Segment 

In the domestic market, Bajaj sold 36,367 CVs, which is a YoY increase of 10% over the 32,956 vehicles delivered in February 2023. The company sent 15,611 units overseas in February 2024, a 31% gain from the previous year. Only 11,914 CVs were exported by Bajaj in the same period a year ago. As a result, the total commercial vehicle sales jumped to 51, 978 units, up 16% from 44, 870 units supplied in the same time last year.

The company's domestic deliveries reached 2,06, 894 units when 2W and CV sales are combined, demonstrating a significant 35% jump over the 1,53,291 units sold in February 2023. In comparison to the 1,26, 935 units shipped in February of last year, the total exports amounted to 1,39,768 units in the previous month, indicating a YoY gain of 10%. The positive trajectory of growth continued in overall sales (domestic and exports) when the automaker delivered 3,46,662 units, a 24% increase over the same time last year. 

Bajaj recently revised the Pulsar NS range for the Indian market. The Pulsar NS160 and NS200 models for 2024 carry price tags of Rs 1.46 lakh and Rs 1.55 lakh, respectively. On the other hand, the upgraded baby NS is priced at Rs 1.04 lakh. These prices are ex-showroom.
